CT scans are used primarily to evaluate the internal organs of the body. But it is also very helpful in evaluating broken bones, or looking at the brain and major blood vessels of the brain and body.

The PMI multi-slice CT (CAT) scanner allows scanning of multiple slices through the body simultaneously, which greatly increases the speed of the examination for the patient. This technology allows scanning of multiple slices through the body simultaneously, which greatly increases the speed of the examination for the patient. The advanced technology also allows imaging of blood vessels and bones in ways not previously possible without more invasive methods or surgery. In many cases, patients are spared having a more invasive procedure, or can have fewer such procedures, based on the findings from a multi-slice CT examination. Also, the more accurate data gained about normal anatomy and disease processes within the body can give the pahtient's physician the information needed for the best and most efficient treatment.
