With the new digital imaging for general x-rays, film is no longer used. This all digital approach provides finer details, more clarity and better contrast.

Digital imaging is more convenient for the patient by minimizing the potential for return visits for additional x-rays. Repeating an x-ray is all but eliminated with digital because film images may be too dark or too light for an accurate reading by the doctor. Digital allows for contrast adjustments through computer software. By not needing repeat imaging, patient is exposed to less radiation. Reducing or eliminating the number of repeat images saves cost for the insurance company and co-pay for patient.

    Chest/Extremity X-rays:
  • No preparation is required.
  • You can expect a pre-scan review of your medical history, previous testing and insurance information.
