PMI has received American College of Radiology (ACR) accreditation for MRI. PMI features a high-field 1.5 Tesla magnet, the strongest in the Prescott area, as well as the latest software. The short-bore design of the magnet decreases claustrophobia, while maintaining the superior image quality and speed that are not possible with weaker or open MRI units. This allows for a significantly shorter exam for the patient without compromising quality for the doctor. Pre-Exam Instructions Please inform the staff if you are claustrophobic. Please inform the staff if you have a cardiac pacemaker. Please inform the staff if you have shrapnel or metal clips from cerebral aneurysm surgery in your body. Please be prepared to remove any jewlery and denchures. Abdominal MRI Only: Nothing to Eat or Drink for 4 hours prior to procedure. You can expect a pre-scan review of your medical history, previous testing and insurance information.
