Company Profile
Established in November of 2003, Prescott Medical Imaging (PMI) is the newest medical diagnostic imaging center in Central and Northern Arizona.

PMI is a full service diagnostic imaging center offering the latest technology, resulting in accurate and responsive services and testing. PMI's state-of-the-art digital radiology system provides clear imaging with low-dose radiation. Their high field strength MRI scanner renders sharp, clear body and brain scans and their multichannel CT scanning allows superb multiplanar imaging for clear, crisp images. This new digital technology provides significant benefits. The images are easily computer enhanced, reducing the need for repeat exams and providing the best detail for each patient and their primary physician.

PMI also offers ACR certified, low-dose mammography utilizing a unit designed by a woman, for the comfort of women. This unit employs a different technical and mechanical approach as to how the breast tissue is held in place, minimizing pinching and pulling normally associated with a mammogram. The doctors at PMI have, in this modality, performed over 150,000 mammograms. The center also offers a dedicated high-resolution breast ultrasound and high-field breast MRI to compliment mammography.

PMI is comprised of nine radiologists, who are specialists and board certified by the American Board of Radiology. Collectively, they have over 60 years of experience in diagnostic imaging. Several have advanced training with additional fellowships in MRI, Nuclear Medicine and Vascular and Interventional Radiology. All technologists at PMI are state and nationally certified.

  • Responsive to needs of both patient and physicians. Most appointments available within 48 hours and medical reporting back to physicians normally within 24 hours, in most cases the same day. For the convenience of area doctors, a file and viewing system has been established at YRMC, allowing doctors to view patient film while conducting their rounds at the hospital.
  • A comprehensive compliment of in-service training, facility tours and support programs for area physician offices.
  • Educational programs, specifically oriented to women's breast cancer, offered to the public.
  • PMI donates a limited number of mammograms to area physicians to provide service free of charge to financially compromised patients.
  • All PMI technologists are state and nationally certified, many with advanced certifications and training.
