What's New at PMI

PMI Receives ACR Accreditation

Prescott Medical Imaging has been awarded a 3-year term of accreditation for Magnetic Resonance Imaging issued by the American College of Radiology (ACR), headquartered in Reston, Virginia.

ACR provides accreditation to facilities for achievement of high practice standards after an extensive peer review of board certified physicians and medical physicists. Both PMI personnel and facility equipment were evaluated as part of the accreditation process.

PMI Hosts 6th Annual Picnic for Medical Community

The 6th Annual Appreciation Picnic was held on August 25, 2011 for healthcare providers' staff members and medical service organizations.

The BBQ, which is held each year to show appreciation to the wider medical community for its support of PMI since its opening in 2003, had in attendance over 100 medical professionals and was catered by Camp Verde's Babe's Round Up.

Supporting the Prescott Community

On August 11, 2011, PMI hosted an open house to introduce its newest CT scanner, the Toshiba Aquilion CFX, which is a remarkable piece of equipment that uses 50% less radiation, is more accurate, faster and requires less intravenous contrast agents than older models. During the open house, guests were invited to tour and learn about the scanner while enjoying delicious appetizers and desserts provided by Perfect Events Catering and wine from Page Springs and Kokopelli wineries.

Recently, PMI has made generous donations to Prescott Center for the Arts (formerly Prescott Fine Arts Association), the Boys and Girls Club, The Mountain Artists Guild and The Prescott Food Bank. PMI also donated a portion of its profits to the Susan G. Komen Foundation to support breast cancer.

PMI gave money to the Prescott Unified School District to provide the schools with defibrillators.

Since its doors opened, PMI has displayed art projects throughout the facility.  Several paintings, photographs and sculptures from Prescott High School's advanced art classes and some pieces from Primavera School have been highlighted.
